The 10th Mountain Division Descendants, Inc. and the Rocky Mountain Chapter would like to invite you to attend the national reunion of Descendants, Friends and 10th (LI) to honor and pay tribute to all veterans and soldiers. This will be an excellent opportunity to gather together, share stories and memories and to perpetuate the legacy of the 10th Mountain Division.
SCHEDULED EVENTS:
Wednesday, October 2, 2024 – Welcome!
· 8:30am – 4:30pm – 10th Mountain Division Descendants Board of Directors Meeting
· 6:30pm – 8:00pm – Mixer/Social Hour (no-host/cash bar)
Thursday, October 3, 2024 – Downtown Denver
· 10:00am SHARP! – Load vans for drive to Denver Mint
· 10:30am – 11:45am – Tour of the Denver Mint
· 12:00pm – 1:30pm – Lunch on your own
· 1:30pm – Load vans for drive to History Colorado
· 2:00pm – 4:30pm – History Colorado tour of “Winter Warriors – The 10th Mountain Division in WWII” exhibit and behind-the-scenes tour of the museum.
· 4:30pm-6:30pm – Hors d’Oeuvres and no-host bar and desserts at the museum
· 6:30pm – Load vans for drive back to hotel
· Evening activities on your own
Friday, October 4, 2024 – Camp Hale and Vail
** PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL BE AT APPROXIMATELY 9000 FT IN ELEVATION ON THIS DAY. HYDRATION AND SUN SCREEN ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED**
· 7:45am SHARP! – Load vans for drive to Camp Hale
· 8:00am – Depart hotel for Camp Hale
· 9:45am – 10:45am – Stop to honor and pay our respects at the 10th Mountain Division memorial monument on Tennessee Pass
· 11:00am – 12:15pm – Lunch at Ski Cooper
· 12:15pm – Load vans for drive to Camp Hale
· 12:30pm – 2:00pm – Tour of Camp Hale with 10th Mountain Division Historian, David Little (involves brief walking on uneven terrain)
· 2:00pm – Load vans for drive to Vail
· 3:00pm – 5:00pm – Visit Colorado Snowsports Museum including their 10th Mountain Division exhibit. Stroll around Vail for a bite to eat or visit the 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits tasting room.
· 5:00pm – Load vans for drive back to hotel
· Evening activities on your own
Saturday, October 5, 2024
· 10:00am – 1:00pm – Showing of the Italian mini-series “Mountain Men – Gothic Line 1945”.
· 2:00pm – The Living History Display group will be on hand to show their artifacts and to answer questions
· 2:00pm – Keli Schmid from the Denver Public Library will be available to show artifacts and explain how to access the 10th Mountain Division Resource Center and conduct research.
· Quartermaster Store will be open.
· 5:00pm – 6:00pm – Social Hour/Happy Hour/No-host bar
· 6:00pm – 7:30pm – Farewell dinner and auction featuring exciting items such as a two-night stay at the picturesque Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT (including dinner at the Von Trapp Bierhall and tour of the brewery), a pair of ski boots from Apex Ski Boots, Lift tickets for Aspen ski resort, plus more!
· 7:30pm – 9:00pm – Showing of Chris Anthony’s movie “Mission: Mt. Mangart” followed by a Q&A with Chris.

A block of rooms has been reserved under 10th Mountain Division Group from September 28th – October 6th at the rate of $132 per night plus taxes and fees for 1 King or 2 Queen beds. Parking is $7 per day.
To get the group rate, reservations need to be made no later than September 17, 2024!

Attendees will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the airport. The hotel does not offer
shuttle service. Options such as taxi, Uber and Lyft are available.
Room rates are not included with reunion fees. Attendees will need to make their own room reservations.
